Canadian International Council
Logo design for the 90th anniversary of Canada's foreign relations council
Founded in 1928, the CIC is a non-profit, non-partisan think tank supporting Canada's role in international affairs and foreign policy. With 15 branches across the country, the Council combines its network of experts and researchers with a diverse array of events and an award-winning online platform to engage Canadians in debate and discussion over Canada's role on the world stage.
The CIC was looking to modify the logo to mark its 90th year and to include a slogan. Working with the existing branding guidelines, the new commemorative logo maintains continuity with the use of the Trajan Pro typeface and the red/white palette while adding a bold and distinctly Canadian element. We developed several configurations of the logo to balance the addition of the slogan and to optimize visibility for social media use.
